History of Chappar Mela
According to the legend, a snake and a boy were born together in an agricultural family in Chhapar village. They shared a strong bond of love. One day, while the boy's mother was working in the fields, the snake stretched its hood over him to provide shade and comfort.
A villager passing by saw the snake and thought it was going to harm the boy, so he killed it. Sadly, the boy died shortly after the snake. The villagers advised the boy's family to worship Gugga for their well-being, and since then, the fair has been held in his memory.
