Ambaji Bhadarvi Poonam Fair is one of the biggest fairs in Gujarat, happens in Banaskantha district. It takes place during the full moon of the Bhadarva (August - September) month. During the fair, pilgrims from all around India travel on foot to visit the Ambaji temple and receive blessings from the goddess Amba. The Bhadarvi Poonam Festival is held for six days during Navratri. Devotees from all around India visit this fair.

About Bhadarvi Poonam Fair
The Ambaji Temple is located on Arasut Mountain near the Saraswati River. This is one of the fifty-one Sakti pithas. Every year during the full moon of the Bhadarva month Bhadarvi Poonam Fair is organised here. Activities during the fair include the Ambaji temple darshan. During the temple darshan, most people walk barefoot. The government organizes a lot of awareness camp on both sides of the road. On the side of the road, the government sets up camps every year where they provide free medical facilities and free food for visitors. Visitors can enjoy cultural programs that are also held at this fair. Art and craft stalls are also there at the fair from where visitors can buy home decorations, bags, shoes, etc.
