India's first comprehensive transportation museum is called the Heritage Transport Museum. It establishes a high bar for exhibitions and communication while highlighting the history of transportation in India. Being the first privately owned museum of this kind in India, it provides a stimulating learning environment suitable for families. 

Situated on a three-acre tract of land off National Highway 8, the museum is spread across four levels and encompasses over 90,000 square feet of air-conditioned space in Tauru, Gurgaon. These consist of meeting spaces, a small theater, a museum store, a cafeteria, exhibition galleries, a library, and a reference center.

• Pre-mechanized Transportation: Learn about the transportation of India and the story of the wheel. Check out the palanquins, howdahs, horse carriages, and camel carts displayed at the gallery. 
• Two-wheelers: Here you can experience the evolution of early two-wheelers in India. 
• Heavy Mechanised Transportation: You can view the bus journeys with restored buses on displays at the gallery. 
• Railways: Take a visit through the historical railways travel. The museum exhibits models of popular locomotives, train tickets, lamps, and railway maps. 
• Aviation: Learn about the history and growth of Air India through the Indian Aviation Industry at this Aviation Centre. Do not miss the restored 1940s Piper J3C Aircraft at the gallery.
