Golden Pagoda Namsai: Ticket Price, Timings, Location, How to reach, Parking Fees, Reviews

Arthi

The magnificent Golden Pagoda temple is well-known for its elaborate spire that is crowned with a unique umbrella. The large wooden doors inside lead to a sanctorium that is known as the "Golden Pagoda" because it is painted a glittering gold color. A calm Bronze Buddha statue from Thailand's Wat Aranjikavas temple, gifted by Ven Prakhu Pabhavana, is located inside the shrine hall. There are guardians at each of the hall's four east, north, west, and south entrances.

The Buddha statue faces north, and the main entrance of the complex faces east, signifying the direction of the Buddha's enlightenment. The shrine hall's facade is decorated with traditional elements including deity sculptures and bell posts, and four mythological lions watch over its entrances.

The complex includes a large shrine hall, meditation hall, multipurpose hall, guest house, library, and lodging for about 100 Bhikkhus. There's also a free dispensary for community healthcare and an elderly home. Overseen by a committed board, the Golden Pagoda wants to establish itself as a top international destination. Every year, hundreds of young monks and visiting monks from all over the world come here for spiritual practices, Dhamma discourses, and devotion.
