Matilda is a story of a really special girl who's super smart and brave, even though she has a tough life. Her parents don't understand her, and her principal is mean, but she finds strength in her imagination, a nice teacher, and her friends. Matilda shows that even though you're small, you can do big things by Ronald Dahl.
The play was written by Dennis Kelly, with awesome music and songs by Tim Minchin, and it's directed by Matthew Warchus. It's won a bunch of awards, like Best Musical, and it's been loved by millions of people all over the world since it first started in England.
