Guindy National Park/ Guindy Childrens Park is Now opened as on August 3, 2024.
Being a must-visit attraction in Chennai. It's the eighth smallest national park in India, covering an area of 2.70 square kilometers in Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The Ministry of Environment and Forests takes care of these protected areas.
This park has Now been renovated and reopened for public as Guindy Children's Park. This park has a seperate play area for kids along with animals and birds watching.
What's unique about this park is that it's the only one located inside a city. Before it became a park, this space was part of the Guindy Lodge, now known as the Raj Bhavan, which is the official residence of the Governor of Tamil Nadu.
