Preparations for the Prayagraj Mahakumbh Mela 2025 have been started. It is estimated that the almost 40 Crore devotee will visit the upcoming event. According to 2018-19, the 25 crore devotees came to take bath in Holy river Ganga and the sangam.

For such big crowd Prayagraj Fair Authority has made the decision to increase the area of event. It is done on basis of the orders given by CM Yogi Adityanath. However the final decision will be taken on the basis of flood and rain situations in that area.
In a preview, area expansion will take place from Naini Industrial area to Karchhana border, Sarai Inayat in Jhunsi and Malak Harhar in Phaphamau.
